How to get here:
BORACAY ISLAND is accessible from two domestic airports: Caticlan and Kalibo. Both towns are located on the mainland of Panay. The usual routes are:
Manila – Caticlan – Boracay: 1.5 hours total travel time
Manila – Kalibo – Caticlan – Boracay: 3 hours total travel time
Cebu – Caticlan – Boracay: 1.5 hours total travel time
At Caticlan airport, ”tricycles“ – motorcycles with sidecars – are waiting to take you to the Caticlan jetty port, only five minutes away. Three airline companies: Airphil Express, Cebu Pacific Air and Seair offer numerous daily flights from Manila or Cebu to Caticlan. Flying time is about one hour. All airlines accept bookings online on their websites.
Zest Airways, Cebu Pacific Air and Philippine Airlines fly the Manila-Kalibo-Manila route. The flight is one hour long. From Kalibo airport, a shuttle bus will take you through a 90-minute scenic journey through the Aklan province countryside to the Caticlan jetty port (64 kilometers away).
From Caticlan jetty port, Boracay is only a short 10-minute boat ride. The drop-off point at Boracay is the newly-built Cagban jetty port.
During the southwest monsoon months (July to October) on days when the wind is quite strong, Caticlan jetty port may be closed, and all tricycles and shuttles are diverted to Tabon port. From Caticlan airport, Tabon is a 20-minute tricycle ride.
